Submissions Guidance – What you need to know to enter the Awards

Please note, the submissions deadline has been extended for the final time – to midnight, Tuesday 31st May 2022.

Submissions are absolutely free for AIM Rightsholder and Distributor members, so don’t miss out on the opportunity for the business / the artists you work with to be recognised at this year’s awards, which celebrates the very best of independent music from the past year.

Every single submission is listened to and watched by our expert judges and tastemakers, who’ll be announced very soon, so make sure to get your submissions in via www.aimawards.co.uk.

As a reminder, please read through the Submissions Guidance below to make the process as clear and smooth as possible for you.

SUBMISSIONS GUIDANCE

STEP 1:  Read through the Frequently Asked Questions and Category Criteria for key information including:

‘What information do I need to make submissions?’

‘What’s the difference between the ‘Best Independent Label’ and ‘Best Boutique Label’ categories?’

‘How to put someone forward as ‘Entrepreneur of The Year’, ‘Independent Champion’ and ‘Diversity Champion?’

STEP 2: Prepare the information you need before making submissions. We’ve listed this here.

STEP 3: Create an account on the AIM Awards website here.

  • You need to create an AIM Awards account for 2022 (any accounts created for previous years are not in use)
  • Although this email has been sent to all member contacts, only one aimawards.co.uk account can be created per Member Business, so please make sure you communicate with your team on who will be creating this account. This login can be shared within the team
  • AIM members (Rightsholder, Distributor and Friends of AIM) should enter their Member ID (see the top of this email) when creating their AIM Awards account. You could also find your Member ID by logging into the member-only area of the AIM website. The ID will be on the dashboard
  • Your AIM Awards account is separate to your login for the main AIM site
  • You can now save drafts of your nominations and submit them later.

STEP 4: Get your submissions in by the final extended deadline – midnight, Tuesday 31st May and cross your fingers for the nominee announcement!
